The hilarious true tales of dating the rich, famous, and wannabes in Los Angeles all while looking for love but only getting free meals instead. Dating never tasted so good!

When I first moved to Los Angeles at 20 years old as a naive bright-eyed actress, I met many so-called producers who padded their stories with lies and their wallets with monopoly money. It’s was easy to get caught up in the game of all things entertainment including celebrities, millionaires, and sex. Thankfully, I moved in with Jennifer who taught me that just because a guy bought me a beer at BJ’s, it didn’t mean that I owed him a BJ. The stories in Dating for Dinner, Ordering Love, are hilarious and crazy and all true tales of my dating for love while Jen dated for a backstage pass. This book will help singletons everywhere laugh their way through dating disasters while searching for their true love.
The book begins with dating stories where my ex-roommate, Jennifer, who used dates for a doctor’s checkup right down to a steak dinner, tried to teach me to ignore my own conscience and enjoy care“free” dating. I just wanted love but went on dates where I unknowingly participated in a drug deal, had to run for my life with a guy in the U.S. on asylum, and even went to Africa. In exploring these different types of dates, I guide daters to make more successful connections while dating smarter and safer. Through my “Dating for Dinner” journey, I gained self-esteem while Jennifer eventually came to realize that she wanted love too.
While I was writing this book, I would mention the title, “Dating for Dinner,” and no matter who I was talking to, they would have a story of their own about themselves or someone they know who has dated for a meal or an oil change. I searched for love in every tasty bite when I found myself divorced and dating at 35 in the abyss of dating app hell. I’ve been on a plethora of dinner dates with paupers and princes, traveling from the fringe of LA to the beaches of France, and I always ordered love. The book shares my recent “single mom” stories of swiping, falling in love, having my heart broken, and coming to terms with the possibility of not finding the love of my life. But I didn’t give up and in the end I found him. The heart of the book is to encourage people to never give up on love. It’s the reason we are alive. I never gave up on love even after many insane dates with psychopaths, sociopaths, and guys with dementia and because I didn’t quit, I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
