A life full of stories.
She decided to write them down.
Lisa Marie Wilson is a writer, actor, producer and author who has built a creative life out of telling the truth, finding the funny part and staying curious about what happens next.
Born in Michigan and now based in Los Angeles, Lisa has written books, television pilots, feature films and articles about the experiences that have shaped her life.
Writing was never just one chapter of Lisa’s life.
Lisa was born in Michigan and attended Sacramento State University at seventeen to study creative writing. What followed was a life that gave her plenty to write about.
Her work has moved through books, essays, television, film and the kind of real-life experiences that are usually funnier once enough time has passed.
Lisa’s articles about cancer, divorce and dating have appeared on Substack, the Huffington Post and the Los Angeles Times.
She also wrote, acted in and produced the television pilot Over The Hill, starring Robert Wagner and Tim Conway, and has written seven television pilots and three feature films.
And because one creative lane has never been quite enough, Lisa also owns the hat company Celebrity Hats.
Three books. Three very different parts of one life.
Traveling Daisy

The next book
Lisa is currently writing her third book about her father, an Elvis impersonator whose story deserves a book of its own.
The story rarely stays in one format.
Lisa writes for the page and the screen. Her work includes books, articles, seven television pilots and three feature films, along with the original Dating for Dinner series inspired by the point of view behind the memoir.
